Before taking early retirement in 2001, Merritt was a senior executive with several leading companies which provide financial and technology services. He has an extensive and successful background in management, marketing, sales, and contract negotiations. Upon retirement, he and his wife, Chris, moved permanently to Amelia Island where they had enjoyed a vacation home for a number of years.
Merritt began what has become a successful second career in 2003 with Prudential Chaplin Williams Realty, Inc. He specializes in resort properties, second and retirement homes, as well as, investment properties on Amelia Island and in Nassau County.
