Born and educated in Britain, Julie spent most of her youth on the Isle of Man, in the middle of the Irish Sea between England and Ireland. She grew up to be one of only five woman police officers on the island,that is also home to the Manx tailless cat !. Having traveled up and down the US east coast, she adopted our community as home when she moved here in 1992. Her early experience in real estate had her managing a Coldwell Banker office in Fredericksburg, Virginia. She is not really a 9 to 5 personality type, so she soon realized she would enjoy the flexibility being an agent provides. As a Graduate Real Estate Institute professional, (G.R.I.) Julie has earned this intensive continuing education designation that less than 5% of realtors have received. She also recently completed a course of a small group of agents selected for the Nassau County Leadership Council.

McCracken exposes a sincere smile when she reflects on her career, “I enjoy meeting different people. They each bring their individual needs and challenges.” She likes to learn about their hobbies and interests. Whether they are transferring to the area, looking for investment property, a first time buyer or purchasing a second home, it is their lifestyle and their culture that she blends with her knowledge of Amelia Island when she shows her clients properties. “You have to get to know and trust the realtor you work with, Realtors know about the new listings and the hidden jewels.” Julie’s background in mortgage and finance compliments her understanding of the entire process.

Julie enjoys embedding herself into the community and is on the Board of Directors of the Boys & Girls Club of Nassau County and an active volunteer at the local club. She is also on the board and a member of the Amelia Sunrise Rotary Club.
